Claiming Bodily Injury If Not Transported To Hospital

Burriss & Ridgeway | January 30, 2014

injury accidentQuestion: If I was in an accident but not transported to the hospital by ambulance, can I still make a claim for my bodily injury?

Very often we hear from clients who have been in accidents and did not realize that they were injured at the scene of the accident. It is not at all uncommon for an injured party not to experience a level pain or discomfort requiring medical treatment until several days or even weeks have passed. Insurance companies are doing all that they can to lead injured parties to believe that unless transportation by an ambulance was provided, the bodily injury now being claimed is not recoverable in the accident. This is simply false.

While some insurance adjusters do stay at a Holiday Inn Express from time to time, they are not medical professionals.

If you, a family member or friend has been injured in an accident of any kind and would like to talk about the available options, Hank Burriss and Wayne Ridgeway look forward to discussing the case.
