BIOGRAPHY

Hank is a lifelong resident of South Carolina, who was raise in the Lower Richland Community and graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1986.  He is proud to be a Diamond Hornet.  After graduating from high school, he attended the Citadel on a football scholarship and graduated in 1990 with a BS in Business Administration.  He obtained his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1993.

Wayne was born, raised and graduated from high school in Orangeburg, SC. Wayne and his wife Marshall have 3 children and are members of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. Wayne also serves on the board for the University of South Carolina Fellowship of Christian Athletes and coaches kids soccer with the Columbia YMCA.

BIOGRAPHY

Alicia Higgins joined Burriss Ridgeway in August 2012 as a family court attorney. She obtained her legal degree at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1988. Alicia has practiced in the South Carolina family court exclusively- handling everything from private actions for divorce, custody and adoption to prosecuting juveniles, serving as a Guardian ad litem to children and defending parents is DSS cases.

BIOGRAPHY

Christina Sisk joined Burriss and Ridgeway law firm in March 2018 as a family law paralegal. She completed her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies at Midlands Technical College. Christina lives just outside of the Columbia area with her husband and their two children along with their dogs, horses and chickens. In her leisure time, Christina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, barrel racing and crafting.

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Sullivan joined the Burriss and Ridgeway firm in 2013. Liz received her paralegal certification in 1991 from AIPS in Detroit, Michigan, where she worked in insurance defense, specializing in medical malpractice, automobile and appellate claims. Liz is the firm’s lead personal injury paralegal with over twenty-five years of experience. She handles all aspects of our personal injury matters from inception through litigation and trial. In addition, Liz plays an active role in various management and administrative duties, including hiring and training of employees.

Kelsey Dorch joined the Burris and Ridgeway team in March 2018 as a Legal Assistant. She completed her Criminal Justice B.S. Degree, at South Carolina State University. She completed her Paralegal Certificate at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. She also has training and experience as a court clerk in the county courthouse.

BIOGRAPHY

Barton W. Fordham III (Kip) rejoined the firm in November of 2018 as office manager. Kip has worked in the legal field for the last 25 years as a paralegal, legal assistant and administrative assistant.
Being a military dependent, Kip lived in a number of locations before settling in Columbia in 1975. Kip is happily married to his wife of more than 37 years and has one son and three beautiful grandchildren.

Geena Griffith joined Burriss and Ridgeway in May 2017 shortly after graduating from Presbyterian College with a B.S. in Psychology. Initially, Geena worked as a Medical Records Clerk but she soon transitioned to the position of Legal Assistant, where she now assists with litigation preparation, scheduling, and any other miscellaneous tasks for the firm’s personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.

Tiffany Coker is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Broadcast Journalism. She has been with Burriss and Ridgeway Law Firm for over 2 years, serving as the Marketing Coordinator. Tiffany's favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and 3 young children.

Amelia Holley joined the Burriss Ridgeway team in January 2018, as a personal injury and workers’ compensation paralegal. She has an Associates in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies and has been assisting attorney’s in various practice areas since.

Paula Markevicz joined the Burriss Ridgeway team in October 2017 as a personal injury and workers’ compensation paralegal. She completed her certificate in paralegal studies from the University of South Carolina-Aiken. She also has training and experience as a certified healthcare documentation specialist.

Madison Rogers came to Burriss and Ridgeway in 2015 as a Legal Assistant with the Family Law team. She attended Winthrop University where she studied to become an English teacher. Previously she worked at Lexington District One before joining the legal field in 2011.

Samantha Rhoades joined the Burris Ridgeway team in January 2018 as a personal injury and workers’ compensation paralegal. She completed her BS in Criminal Justice at the University of South Carolina-Columbia and her Associate Degree in Public Service at Midland’s Technical College.

Crystal Lupton joined the Burriss and Ridgeway team in 2018, as a personal injury paralegal specializing in workers’ compensation claims. Crystal has been in the legal field for over eighteen years. She received her paralegal certification in Virginia and worked in the family law field until moving to South Carolina in 2015. In her free time Crystal enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and family.
