Young Woman Dies in Accident with a Tractor Trailer Truck Near Blythewood, SC

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts is releasing the name of the person who died on Saturday, April 25, 2020 after being involved in a motor vehicle collision. The incident occurred just before 7:30 A.M. on I-77 North at mile marker 28 (Blythewood). The victim loss (sic) control of the vehicle and left the roadway colliding with a tractor trailer.   

Cassandra Harrington, date of birth 10/23/1997 of Passage Drive, Fort Mill S.C. 29708 was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate this incident.
